Dustin DeRouen and Lizzie Yur

The elk and ram were both harvested in central Texas in early September with MMK Outfitters. The elk was a 400+ inch 7 x 9 that was a spot and stalk hunt sealing the deal with a 220 yd shot. The ram was Lizzie's first hunt, after a two hour stalk in the rain she even managed to make an awesome shot up hill(I think she was tired of chasing it and I did not even have a chance to range it) as the hammer fell so did the ram. Both animals were harvested with a Remington 7mm custom with a 170 grain for the elk and a 150 grain for the ram. A hunt we will never forget.
