My black bear was taken on September 20,2009 in Northern California Trinity Alps wilderness area while on a backpacking trip, using my Remington.300 bolt action rifle. The bear squared up at 6'4", skull was 19.25, the spread on the front paws was 6'8" and estimated weight was 400 lbs.
